Remote work, comms skills and mental health on the agenda post Covid- 19

  • The post-pandemic workplace can change completely. In the future the way we work can be different with the following scenarios; the whole workforce working remotely, a portion working remotely, or people working at an office with social distancing. With many people working remotely, “chat language” can be a necessary skill when applying for work.
  • With many people working from home, they experience the benefits of working remotely. This can change the support focus with companies having remote work budgets so that their employees can purchase necessary working equipment to work from home. According to the article, 19% of people working from home experience loneliness and 60% say that their mental health affects their productivity. This can increase the mental health resources for all employees shifting to remote work.
